Nothing like a couple of sea-going tornadoes, (a.k.a. waterpouts), to make your day. These were taken off the coast of Acapulco, Mexico, an especially nasty stretch of ocean weather-wise. Transiting Miraflores locks in the Panama Canal. I'm still utterly amazed that this incredible feat of engineering was built during the time of Teddy Roosevelt.
The entire ship inside of the lock and being lowered to the next level. To the left is another ship which is being lifted. The water pressure between the two locks is evened out.
Rainbows became almost pass�.
